Marta Zawisny, Esq. was born in Bialystok, Poland. Marta and her emigrant parents moved to the United States, upon which she enrolled in St. Francis College where she maintained a G.P.A. of 4.0 and was a recipient of a merit based scholarship.

Mrs. Zawisny earned her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School with honors - cum laude. During law school, Mrs. Zawisny was enrolled in the Merit Scholars Program and was named a Richardson Scholar. In 1999, she gained an internship with the Honorable Robert Levy, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Eastern district of New York.

In 2000, Mrs. Zawisny interned in the Attorney General's office in the Securities Bureau. She was a member of the Journal of Law and Policy and wrote on issues concerning sexual harassment and discrimination during her tenure with the Attorney General’s office.

That same year, Mrs. Zawisny became an associate at the law firm of McDermott, Will & Emery in the New York City office specializing in mergers and acquisitions. During her employment with McDermott, Will and Emery she represented large software corporations, financial institutions and telecommunications companies.

Mrs. Zawisny is a member of the legal team at Zawisny & Zawisny. She specializes in commercial real estate, leasing, business law and civil law. Mrs. Zawisny is licensed to practice law in the state of New York. She is fluent in both Polish and Russian.
